sheila and i literally just got settled into a temporary extended stay at Sun & Ski Inn in stowe while we wait for the first flight available for us for our side trip to paris, enroute from vermont to texas

that we have such a relatively easy complication from hurricane sandy’s visit to the northeast, is something we are extremely grateful for

having gone through hurricanes since hurricane carla in houston in the early 60s, i can say from personal experience that size of storm is irrelevant when it comes to if a storm adversely affects a person

some smaller storms, like sandy, pack the most water, which is, i believe, the biggest threat still from tropical storms

either way, if one loses power, even in a thunderstorm, then a family or individual becomes vulnerable

so all our prayers and best wishes, for all of us

my third fiction novel in the current series, “A Love Story” is a great fun read of a large family gathering together – everyone from grandchildren to grown children to grandparents is involved

A romance and an artist’s story, how could it not be a love story?

We all love a story that shows how a loving pair, meeting obstacles in life, overcome that challenge, and resolve to love each other. But what happens during the “lived happily ever after” part? What are the details, what might the process be, achieving and living that post-crisis life?

This arc, from boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy regains girl, morphs, in this first of three books, in the trilogy, Triptych, into that fuller story of life, and love.

though i’ve recently completed a series of posts detailing differing aspect of creating “The Old American Artist, a Love Story,” the detailed questions requested by The Indie Spotlight, presents another look at the creative process and story

i am pleased and honored to be able to delve into the questions of “how” and “why” in the open-ended, yet guided manner, provided by greg at this site for indie writers

the second book in the trilogy, “Triptych,” is already underway and progressing interestingly, as it mirrors the point-of-view of the title, “Rosetta”

quite a variety of indie work is featured by The Indie Spotlight, and i’ve come across work i wouldn’t normally have heard of or known about, i hope you’ll check it out

my newest image work, “PhotoPoems Book One, Seven Volumes,” a large compilation of published and unpublished image and verse work, should be available this month, and hopefully i will be able to present this work also

however, due to a recent server crash, greg, one of the co-founders of the indie spotlight, gave a “state of indie spotlight address” saying (my own bolding) :

Ed and I have been truly grateful for all of the tremendous support you have given us, and are very happy to continue providing The Indie Spotlight as a medium to help let the world know about you and your work. But our popularity far exceeded our expectations, and prior to the server crash, we had a very large queue that was continuing to grow by the week. So now that we have this unfortunate opportunity to start over, we will be taking steps to keep the stockpile of submissions under control so that we can best serve you. So submissions are open now until the end of the month of April, and then we will try to have a more definitive submission period schedule set up, which we’ll post on the website.

so, from my view, a total recommendation of the indie spotlight’s services, but with a heads up regarding keeping an eye out for upcoming submission changes after april

Yoga

i think my ending “yoga” segment in my writings is replacing my previous “final thoughts” section

change is about adapting and enhancing, at least for us, people

even if the universe is random, which i lean toward doubting it is, maybe it’s our job, as people, to invest it with some purpose!

and if love is the driving force of our universe, as many believe, maybe our awareness of it, and infusion of that love, into our daily lives, is that purpose -

if nothing else, it sounds and feels good
