Micro-Macro Unity, Flowers and Landscapes? — Or Am I Just Seeing Things?

You know that feeling, when you spot clouds that look like mountains with fog filled valleys continuing up into the sky?

Here’s fairly recent painting example —

And my original source photo for it —

Or when a close-up / macro of flower remind you of images of constellations bursting from tight cores of light into stars and worlds?

I haven’t painted a version of this shot yet but very much want to 🙂

Micro – Macro. Worlds within worlds…

Or am I really just seeing things?

Maybe (smiles).

But if renderings of atoms inside us resemble galaxies revolving above us – well, that “maybe” might be why I keep being drawn to picturing macros of flowers and sweeps of landscapes — painting ridges and rolls and patterns within each.

And – maybe – that’s all I really need to know, right now anyways….

Wish me luck 🙂

Next post I resume a long neglected theme that means a lot to me – Gratitude.
