Adan’s eBay Art – Changing From Auctions to Set Listings With a Make-An-Offer Option 😊

Two views of my small 8×10 oil from 2004, The Bird Bath 😊

What Happened

So I tried two auctions, one with this painting and one with a rolled canvas artist’s proof. Despite a fairly nice amount of views, no final taker on either. I do think if I stuck with the format, and more pieces were offered, things would begin to happen.

But what did happen of course, if you’ve seen my most recent Aging Gracefully posts, I got very ill with a badly infected gallbladder & lost being able to keep up with getting more auctions ready.

What’s Happening Now

This format, the fixed price – but – with a nifty make-an-offer option — allows me to start listing the work I’d like to offer w/out worrying about deadlines to remove a work of art to make room!

Plus – very important 😊 – since each listing has the make-an-offer option (I set the threshold $ amount individually & fairly low for each art piece), there’s a “chance” an interested buyer could get a real bargain 😊

I’d love to set a strict schedule of when I’d list new art work on eBay, but am going to have to settle for “steady” — it suits me better anyway, lol!

Each time I list a new art piece in eBay, I’ll be sure and post it.

I believe once I have more than one item up I’ll have an eBay link to the listings in one spot.

Tomorrow, I’ll start a post on a vote-for-free contest running through end of July from Fine Art America – here’s a preview from one of my tweets today:

With that, I’ll leave you with my current closing section –

More Ideas & Options

A short multi-generational / YA short story of mine, “Art Day” – comes to mind as a fun read to compliment my article. Set in an art school in Austin, it’s included in my short story collection at Amazon, “Four Shorts.”

I found when offering smaller art pieces, like my 8×10 “The Bird Bath” pictured top of the post, sturdy easel packs like these not only look good, but usually hold up really well. Amazon also offers more ornate single packs of easels. There’s lots of choices for lots of kinds of art! Nice 😊

Thanks again everyone! Wishing everyone the best! 💕

    • Thanks, Tiffany, I’m glad I can too – gonna try to add one per week “or so” – life certainly has its own schedule for us, lol! I haven’t offered much yet, only one small painting, so I think you’re absolutely right, just takes the right one, and I need to have enough on eBay to make it fun to shop 😊 Happy 4th of July, Tiffany! 🇺🇸
