I’m Learning Slowly, But Still Learning…
Yesterday I wrote about my feelings and evolving ideas of why I’d like to create more open edition prints of my work.
Today, literally as I was finalizing formatting the posters I’d shown on my previous article, I got my weekly reminder from Pinterest and was again reminded how useful this little email from them can be for me.

Though I’d already finished formatting the new image above Theatre of Light Poster to send to my long time local printer at Southside Printing & post this new version on Fine Art America (horizontal vs the previous square), I knew then I had to also create a poster for White Blue Cluster (top center floral in top picture). The square non-poster of White Blue Cluster – though very popular – wouldn’t work for this project, so it was back to the horizontal rendition! 😊
Long story short, in between playing with the six year old grandson & taking him with me on a trip to Walgreens, I came up with this –

Sizing will probably be within (on) a 12×18 heavy cover stock sheet.
Images won’t be trimmed but left with white border on each 12×18 for further matting if desired, gift signing, and other options.
Each image is its own thing. Plus each bordering for each poster version is also created to suit the image. All part of my decades of cutting mats and framing pics. There’s a little history of that in yesterday’s post, and I’ll have much more soon!
Meanwhile, back to what prompted today’s activities. It’s no surprise that Olga Abramova’s superb white floral is again among the top 3 – gorgeous sensuous inspiring image! Plus, this time, joining in flanking my own work (White Blue Cluster), is a Woody Harrelson quote – very nice!
I hope you’ll return again next week to see what’s changed, and maybe what hasn’t — this week, both my Shadow Selfie and my painting Dancing Flower made return appearances as top draws for pins saved from my site (bottom half of image top of the post).
All in all, interesting activity to let percolate 😊

You have quite an extensive collection of beautiful images, I could look at them all day! I have just started doing my own matting and framing, I have so much to learn!

I think you’ll love it, Tiffany! The colors, the differences degrees of width make in the feel and look you create, the angles of the bevels, the cut-outs (though I only tiptoed there 😊) – and that’s with your originals, lol! With your prints you can start with a dark or light border round the image and mat to that as an accent. Yeah, I think you’ll have fun. At 69 a day less than two months from now, all my matting’s digital. But I did love those days and the way the time went 😊
