Finally forcing myself to start updating my original paintings catalog of works on Fine Art America, lol! Many, like Starburst Bloom, are in both my general painting gallery and my floral gallery, which itself includes both photography and art work.

Also, both works are on absorbent ground on gallery wrap 6×6 canvases, and both are relatively impressionist to my taste, which of course I love 😊

Additionally each piece has been sprayed with Spectrafix, and then varnished with removable Gambling Gamvar picture varnish.

Tomorrow I hope to upload my new 6×12 inch watercolor, Walk Among the Wildflowers, which I use recently wrote about here on this site. [update 05.05.20 – Walk Among the Wildflowers is now on Fine Art America at – https://fineartamerica.com/featured/walk-among-the-wildflowers-felipe-adan-lerma.html .

I hope we all can continue to be able to appreciate the lovely things we live among here on earth. It helps so much, healing and reminding ❀️

All the best everyone!

  1. Hey Felipe, I cannot work out why exactly but those 2 really remind me of Georgia O’Keeffe and I am almost sure this wasn’t your intention. They are very beautiful!

    1. Always loved her work from way back; I think lots of artists’ work has seeped its way into me and works itself out on canvas without my being hardly aware anymore. Her macro proximity in her floral work always enthralled me, and love finding super cropped closeups in my own photography. It must show up in my painting, which if you see it there, I will take as a huge compliment ❀️

      1. An homage is never steeling. I believe that lots of art works, everyday life and many things in between just find their way into our work; conscious or not.

  3. I love both Starburst and Monarch, Adan, beautiful color selections! I had to click on your link above to find out what “removable varnish” is, lol! It looks like a slight typo! Regardless, lovely paintings my friend!

    1. Ahhh, I’ll have to check that spelling out, lol! Thanks! 😊 Yeah, I have several varnish options on hand, but really like this one, a little more gentle than my other liquid options. A spray would be most gentle generally, but more fume-y so to speak 😊

      1. I have tried so many varnishes, brush on, spray on, all brands, etc. To be honest, on my smaller works, I’ve been using Mod Podge, either matte or gloss, and I like the outcome, much more affordable than the varnishes and simple. Of course for my larger, higher priced paintings I use a high quality spray varnish! 😊

        1. So interesting, truly! I never varnished anything til I started watercolors last year; felt u really needed to, being resoluable etc. What is Mid Podge? I like simple & affordable, lol! Is it good on more than acrylics?

          1. Mod Podge is a water based sealer, glue and finish, comes in matte and gloss, very inexpensive and dries quickly. It is great for collages and it enhances colors of all mediums like a varnish! Try it!

            1. I’m gonna definitely have to check it out! I like water based stuff. Looks like a huge selection of stuff on Amazon! https://amzn.to/30nK01z Definitely well priced, thanks so much, Tiffany! πŸ™
