Today’s post, like an earlier post, “Fun at the Old Bakery & Emporium Consignors’ 2019 Art Reception,” is mostly filled with fun pics —

Skydancer: Adventures of a Monarch Butterfly
Yesterday’s outing to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center here in Austin to hear our youngest girl read and show her illustrated children’s book, Skydancer, to an eager group of little ones, was early enough it wasn’t yet too hot, and actually down right nice! 😊

Beautiful light filled Wildflower Center Cafe 🌸
The Wildflower Tower on the left and the Wildflower Center’s cafe were both relatively quiet, and obviously very inviting. When we returned for ice tea and pudding bread cake later at the Cafe we got the last available table!
Only one little guy, a red dragonfly, stuck inside, minded! We gathered him loosely and gently in a swaddle of napkins and our six year old grandson and one of his two grandmas helped him take it back outside 😊

Meanwhile, now that the day was warming, folks were enjoying the inside of the beautifully situated presentation hall next to the outdoor reading area. As has been the case at Tania’s other readings throughout Austin and at the Wildflower Center for her book, this was fun and a great success!

The six year old, hiding among the adults, liked the idea I’d give him a special spotlight 😊

Please note, though I have owned the Canon Powershot G9 pictured above since April of ‘18, each image in this post except below was captured with my iPhone XR. The image below was captured with my Canon compact, with minimal retouching. The one inch sensor was critical in my choice! Both cameras have been invaluable for me 😊
