Just a quick post to show my two latest paintings to get “fixed” with Spectrafix’s fixative spray 😊

I also finally bought a spray varnish (Grumbacher) yesterday at Michaels. Once I apply it to a painting I’ll post about using it and how the pic came out – wish me luck!

I’ll have to use it outside, which is ok, and I chose glossy, as most of the posts I read say it’ll bring the watercolor colors out better. The varnish is a specialty type specifically more for delicate surfaces like drawings, pastels, etc.

Meanwhile, here’s a look (top pic) at my spraying station, lol!

And below is a nicer close up 😊

Both were featured recently in my post, Painting Update – My Lost Edges and Masking Fluid Ideas 02.18.20 .

Planned, or Serendipitous?

Now, is it just me (cause I just noticed this after I shot this pic, late yesterday evening at last light) that there two very friendly floral “spirits” facing / embracing each other as they come out of the earth-like sphere?

Very unintentional I can assure you, but definitely not complaining ❤️

And here’s they are this morning, at 1st light 😊

The colors are much more accurate to the naked eye in this morning’s light, and Spectrafix’s fixative spray seems to continue to do a great job with watercolor’s delicate surface and pigment – yay! 😊

Thanks so much everyone!

Stay creative!

Enjoy the inspirations in your life, planned or serendipitous! 💕
