A few days ago, with a scheduling conflict, our youngest girl, Tania ( author of illustrated children’s book Skydancer featured at the Austin Public Library ) wondered if we could brave the heat to deliver a few cases of her newest creation, a delightful sparkling water in a can, to one of her clients, the gracious owner of Cannon Coffee ( pictured above), Chris!

Sheila and I were more than glad to replenish Chris’ sold out supply of Daytripper to such a fun place to sit and chat 😊

Cannon Coffee’s slogan on their site is, “Quality Coffee by Authentic People” – and it showed!

My sample cup, plus the couldn’t-resist muffin and giant cookie, served by Alex, was smooth and top notch in both flavor and aroma. Colorful watercolors and oils livened the walls. And the air-conditioning hummed along quietly allowing for easy conversation.

This, it turned out, was a non-chore chore ❤️

The website for Daytripper has a growing list of where available here in Austin, including, but not limited to — Thom’s Market, Hula Hut, Saxon Pub and Donn’s Depot – presented via an animated scrolling list titled, Our Tribe, near the top of Tania’s site .

And I especially like her site’s opening lines –

And if you’re in South Austin, then you gotta stop at Cannon Coffee – before they sell out, again! 😊

ps – they have breakfast tacos! Which I consider Austin’s unofficial national food ❤️
