Scratches Made Whole

she felt herself in pieces
gathered her sharp edges slowly –
– her smoother edge moments even more
gingerly
in a dance of yes and no —
licked her mind’s 2 longest fingers
sticky slick
and found surfaces wanting to meet each other
heard clicks like hello kisses
and in that moment
knew the wholeness of her soul
