There’s very little difference visually between the 2 files, but enough so, with a couple reasons it’s still worth my time converting my older posted art images into my newer image format.
First, most importantly is the images feel and appear more like the original art itself 😊
Secondly, that more accurate feel and look of my originals is accomplished via a much safer smaller file print! plus it loads faster online! Very handy, very nice.

In regard to feeling and look, at least as it appears to me, even though elements of the feel of the larger file have their own charm, what I felt painting my work, and what effect I actually painted toward, are much more visible to me in my newer smaller file.
Google explained to me that the file created, from my camera’s sensor, captured too much information range to accurately translate online. Sensitive small ranges of painted nuance were simply overpowered and swallowed up by those stronger spectrum tones.
For example, looking at the lone figure by the long bench atop the dark hill, I feel the separation of personal from both sky and hill. Slightly. But more so than the larger original image file below it. True, there’s an immersion of the figure into both the sky and hill, with its own worth, but it’s not what I ended up with, and, was more pleased. I wanted what I felt that day I saw and captured that moment. A person alone atop a mass of earth silhouetted against an even more immense sky.
The person is of the earth and sky, literally, yet is a distinct creation, with a distinct experience of the moment – which I shared within myself, marveling at our co-existence, his-mine,the earth-our sky. And then the moment passed, but I already held in it memory – body memory and spiritual memory.
From there, I always felt I must share it. As a photo. And eventually, as a painting ❤️
It’s only taken me more than a bit to learn and realize this 🙏
Like I used to say as a child growing up here in Texas – Nobody told me nothing 😊
Adan 🙏
ps – expanding each of the 2 larger images via tweaking your screen may help show what I’m seeing – I’m currently on an iPad Pro.
Also, for further thoughts re the creative process, I like reading/seeing Richard Bernabe’s thoughts & photography. Worth exploring! – https://www.richardbernabe.com/about
