below is the full image for this spring’s header on the blog
with my first header, from a painting of a rare snow day on valentine’s day in austin, though it came out well, and i grew to appreciate it, i initially felt badly, cropping the image to fit the header size –
but with this photo, i like both, the cropping worked really well

the image itself, is from the mid 2000’s, pretty close to the time of the valentine snow day mentioned above – that’s the weather in austin 😉
i’d planted the pear trees the fall of 2000, and they must’ve like the crazy summer heat and bouts of 20 degree winter freezes, cause they never failed to bloom like this in the spring –
beautiful clusters of tiny white flowers set among the still-soft early spring leaves
the bark had thickened quickly over the few years to this picture
and the scent was faint firm soft and lingered
*
i got many great pictures of these leaves and trees, in the spring and in the fall, and have used their gracious images in several posts already
another spring leaf example is on “asanas (poses) – do i HAVE to do the pose this way? part 1, no…”
a good fall leaf color example is on “teaching my first yoga class”

and i loved pruning the crossing branches, and covering the ground with fresh mulch each year
it was a process…
*
that’s how yoga is –
all fitness really – dance, zumba, jogging, resistance work…
and i really feel there’s a need to remind or let others know the truth of this, this inter-connectedness of what we people do, what we like doing, with movement and breathing and feeling fit –
but it seems, for me, there’s more process available for me, with yoga
i don’t think it’s more special than other activities, per se, just fits me more so
so there’s more process to, well, process 😉
*
yoga reminds me of me, needing my leaves and twigs and branches each needing twining and pruning and careful daily guiding so each leaf, each leaf that’s part of the tree, gets to get some light….
namaste – con dios – god be with you
