Spring Sunset Austin Skyline Butler Park Horizontal – Photography Felipe Adan Lerma

A nearly idyllic Spring evening just a days ago w/the sun streaming last light as the shadows began cooling into a new night… 😊

Following is an excerpt from my image description at Fine Art America –

Yesterday evening I wandered down to Butler Park to stretch my legs and enjoy probably one of the last mild days of Spring before Summer’s usual early arrival here in Austin.

The breeze was light but consistent, the sun was out waning gold slanting light on the downtown’s mushroom of buildings, and reflections on the small pond by the hill twinkled a welcoming blue.

The birds obviously were also loving it, chirping like school kids let out onto the playground. Tourists joined residents listening to music from nearby Auditorium Shores.

My intent had been to do a continuous walk, chalking up pleasantly earning fitness tracker points, but the sky and birds and reflections on the buildings coolly gave me pause to see what I had at first only glimpsed (smiles).

We’ve had a few more idyllic evenings here in Austin the last few days, but the days where the temps pop closer and closer to ninety (and soon much higher) are quickly becoming dominant – so I’ll continue to count my senior fitness steps and walk mornings plus evenings until indoor workouts become just too comfortable to pass up! At least til Autumn re-arrives with cooling smiles in the air 😊
