My most recent newsletter alert from artist Dianne Mize is set with a link straight to her free YouTube video.
At nearly 30 minutes, it’s packed with Dianne’s usual easy to follow, often surprising details — in this case the use of white and light colors via watercolor.
I’m especially glad she’s continued her recent Quick Tips focus on this gorgeous yet often quite tricky new-to-me medium.
As usual, she presents basic information I didn’t even know existed, particularly in the clarity she manages to present things-art!
One quick example and – I hope – enticement for you to visit her free YouTube video, is how, one can use the relative dryness or wetness of the paper (and I’m finding, also on watercolor absorbent ground), as resist during a subsequent wash! Almost as always, the demo’d simplicity is mind opening!
