Martin Luther King, Jr Day – Remembrance, Reflection, Resolve – January 18, 2021

Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

There’s been hardly a time Dr King’s words and deeds have not been timely and needed, and two days before Inauguration Day, maybe more so than since the years I first saw him as a young teen on TV in the 60s.

I’ll forever equate Dr King with both John and Bobby Kennedy, the best of LBJ, and even John Lennon. Dr King was a big part of what I grew up with ❤️

And while the threat of violence has swung from the Left to the Right since those years, Dr King’s words have remained steadfast in their meaning, their importance, and their dire relevance today.

Though, when I think of enduring words, such as his, the relevance remains in both times dire and magnanimous. In good times and bad. They’re eternal.

Because they’re of the heart and spirit.

Here, in a tiny token, are tweets I’ve seen so far today that struck a chord within me, tying those trying days over half a century ago..with today 💕

Stay well everyone! Stay strong, and strong with love ❤️
