The Day Before Surgery
If my recovery from tomorrow’s hiatal surgery trails (as per the Dr’s) slightly longer than my emergency gallbladder surgery from the end of June, it’ll be early to mid November before I feel as able and wanting to do things as I do right now – so, with my wife’s help we took this —

And created this!

You can see the big easel in the top-(before)-pics, laying on its side behind boxes of stuff some of which we still don’t know what’s in ‘em, lol! 😂
Still. Not too bad for two old folk 😊
My Painting Goal
To be honest, my goal’ll be pretty basic – just get started again!
Because of the move, I’d had to pretty well give up painting early/mid May. Wife & I both figured that was best, get the move done, and done right, then fix up what we’ve always called the 2nd bedroom – the Art Room 🖼 😊
Well what turned out to be a major gallbladder malfunction infection, with pains that’d been intermittent and far apart in May, gathered steam with the summer heat and by the beginning of the second week of June the pain attacks (of several hours length each) were more frequent and more intense. In between I slowly was losing any ompth to get started painting or most anything else. By the time we went to the ER as per various medical authorities’ strong recommendations, I was simply waiting for the next round of pain.
So now, with lots of effort between the two of us, my wife and I have given the art room / second bedroom a not too bad a’look 😊
I do think the 3+ month unintended break from painting has let me possibly narrow down both my prospective style and my probable image paths (subject matters). Especially if I can combine them.
That, would be a very healthy route to recovery 💕

Also please note, I have looked through and chosen the suggestions above. Some are best sellers, others have great reviews, and the stone painting – well, if you ever see young elementary school children paint and play with small rocks as art pieces, you will have been given a true treat! ❤️
Thanks so much everyone!
