Today

Until I can get past only having water and other clear fluids, plus the shifting muscular pain diminishes or disappears (effect of the anesthesia in my stomach I’m told), I’m not sure if I’ll get to leave the hospital – but it’s a distinct hope!

Hope’s the seed of optimism.

And if I can tolerate coffee this morning I’ll be brimming w/hope! 😊

Then today, Sheila riding shotgun, we can expand on yesterday’s short walks.

I did work up a special post I scheduled for today. “The Yoga Bowl.”

It’s a short story I wrote back around early 2015 for inclusion in a charity compilation with 100% of proceeds going to charity. It’s a touching short read, a grandma with her two youngest grandsons, exploring an early spring morning.

Yesterday

Nauseousness mingled discretely with intense isolated migratory muscle pain — in between idyllic child-like bouts of blessed sleep and urination.

Who knew anesthesia had such such wondrous after-affects 😊

But my hiatal surgery repair appears to be a hit with the medical folks familiar with this level of recovery fun.

With my wife my companion, including walks down the hallway, I’ll take that 💕

Only thing better’ll be when I can have coffee again…. ☺️
