March 29, 2021 – Radiology Technologist : Poetry, Line Art and Digital Wash

I’d teased in one of my previous posts, with the 4 layer image below, re developing the image work for my newest gift post, Radiology Technologist – 1st written & sold in the 90s, and now reincarnating as a spiffy image/poster/poem, available in prints and gifts like t-shirts, bags & more!

With the coloring on the ribs differing back to front and the embedded heart shaped like the stylized upper torso of two people, it’s come a long ways, not to mention adding the related poem and positioning the pieces.

I’d originally planned on a vertical poster, but horizontal was its destiny 😊

And before I forget again (I’m adding this later the same day this posted, lol!) – Radiology Technologist is included in my collection of medical poems at Amazon –

Pressed for time, and still recovering from our 2nd Moderna Covid shots, I’m reposting my Fine Art America description. Plus further below I’ve included my tweet showing how my new line art/wash/poem works on a large coffee mug ☺️

When my wife Sheila and I did craft shows, especially in the 90s, we got where when it was slow we would work on short sayings or writings. At first it was mostly for family members (moms, dads, brothers, sisters etc), then activities we were family with – dance, yoga, sports, music, and then jobs we knew something about. Eventually, folks began asking we if had Elementary School Teacher, Nurse, Dispatcher, and yes, even Radiology Technologist 😊 With input from folks wanting gifts for friends or family, we learned about other professions, and wrote work that pleased folks looking for sayings like that.

The kissing heads heart, inside the simulated x-ray, is a special visual addition to our 1990’s poem ♥️

I will add I did a whole lot better keeping my layers separate as I created my line art wash, only messing up (not separating) the back ribs with the color I gave them. Oh well, it’s a process ☺️

ps – not sure what my next line art/wash poem poster will be, been too concentrated on this one, plus need to shift gears more into our upcoming move in a few weeks, but I’ll try and pick something interesting!
