Difficult to get this image close, much less “right” digitally for me, but this is very close; well, except for the texture, but hope the close-up crops below help 😊
First though, a before / after side-by-side look of my Angel looked like with my masking fluid layin hidden under my 1st paint pass through —

I’d deliberately tried to replica some of my masking fluid pattern from my accidentally mauled paper work, Abstract Study 1 —

With Angel though, I obviously used a darker palette, plus formed the unintended figure in Abstract Study 1 into more a person, which eventually morphed into an angel, lol!
What I couldn’t capture w/my level of lighting and camera, in a full size shot, as well as I’d like, is the seen-up-close texture —

https://felipeadan-lerma.pixels.com/featured/angel-felipe-adan-lerma.html
And as I mentioned in my previous post, I’m becoming aware that the surface of my work, esp on canvas, can be as important, and hopefully symbiotic, of the image as a whole seen from a pleasant viewing distance.
Plus, though I don’t think a painting should be dependent on a frame, these recent 16×20 and 18×24 works I am working to also present with frames —

https://felipeadan-lerma.pixels.com/featured/angel-felipe-adan-lerma.html
I think, in these particular works, the eye, my eye anyways, lol! My eye is helped by the presence of a boundary to focus within.
Thus, an Angel print, from Fine Art America, could look like this —

https://felipeadan-lerma.pixels.com/featured/angel-felipe-adan-lerma.html?product=framed-print
The watermark “fine art america” of course wouldn’t be on any purchased print, lol! 😊
Double matted (3 1/2 inch Raven Black Rag top mat; 1/4 inch Chinese Red bottom mat) w/a 24×18 VN3 model frame, shows Angel well ❤️
And as my wife said seeing Angel in my own simpler black frame just further up above, “the frame expands the painting!” I’d thought of containment. She’d thought of expansion 💕
Stay well everyone! It helps us all! 🙏
