I’ve painted several variations of styling and color/texture variations of many of my photos, and this particular spot along the Island Line Trail over Lake Champlain,, has especially inspired me.
The sunrise, visible earlier the same day to the right of the raised rock path, the sun rising over Mt Mansfield and range of related mountains, spreading its light down their western slopes, had then crossed the eastern side of Lake Champlain and now, later in the day, having returned by bicycle to my same spot as morning, I felt my heart easing into evening. Soft warm light eased my day, shimmering now, glittering greetings of peace and hopefulness like seeds for my dreams and slumber in my sleep to come. But for now, for a few more dimming moments, I was at peace already.
Adan 🙏
