I very recently had the pleasure of having an interview via Andrew Updegrove, attorney and self-published thriller author of The Alexandria Project.
His list of questions helped me zero in on my many creative interests besides writing, plus enabled me to focus a bit about the female lead, Sam (Samantha).
Though many folk key on the children and teens and tweens in both the new thriller, and Dirty Sixth Street, Austin and its three companion short stories, it is Sam the children circle around, center on, and evolve from.
I don’t know everything about Sam and her life, but I’ve found it worth finding out more about through my stories.

While “Dirty Sixth Street, Austin” is about how Sam, as a grown woman, meets the six cousins (ages 9-18) in much of my fiction, the stories below are of Sam telling the six children stories about her own childhood, growing up in Vermont.
The story within each story, is itself, a suspense mystery of sorts.

Blurb
Sam (Samantha) is visiting Austin from New England. Thinking of moving. Works with the police helping children in trauma. And comes across the six cousins in much of my Texas and Paris fiction. The youngest boy, Zilker, has been robbed, and she wants to help out. In the process, she learns much about herself, her young new friends, and a special party section of Austin, Texas. Oh, and solves the crime. (smiles)
