My Mom is an Angel

My Mom is an

angel already

and doesn’t even

know it.

She sees light

in any darkness.

And, if I let her,

she’ll smile and cup a

firefly or two, then rest them,

peacefully, within my darkness.

My Mom is an angel.

And I know it.
