Tweet excerpt,

“I thought food was being served…”

Me too, smiled Arturo, his stomach taut, but not uncomfortable. Arturo continued walking Macario’s path, feeling his legs gain strength. His back seemed to lift and straighten the more steps he took, his lungs refilling with air. Massive plate glass windows facing the ocean marked the further end of the grand ballroom. Into the night’s darkness, stone steps from the rear of the hotel cascaded down in turns, lit by ancient-styled lamp posts guiding guests to the sandy stretches lapped by the sea. Voices and questions receded and returned as he breathed the scene outside. Snippets and parcels of voices and comments filtered in.
