October 07, 2021 – Dappled Light, “Figures in a Landscape Study” : Calling It Done, Uploaded to Fine Art America

As is sometimes the case, I’m not totally satisfied with this piece, but I’ve posted it to Fine Art America, deciding I’ve done what I want with it, have learned a great deal, and have several working pieces benefiting from this effort; and for that, I’m very grateful ❤️

It captures enough of a feeling I value that I expressed it, in my short descriptive text for it on Fine Art America, as —

Boundless beauty surrounds us, and children are the heart of all that beauty in nature.

The setting for this painting, with the mother and her child, is the Barton Springs Greenbelt here in Austin. A nice combination!

Finally, this (very rare for me) very short post is a function of both, my desire to paint some more on a new figure art piece, acrylic on 16×20 canvas over light molding paste – and – a need for some down time with my wife today. Both great reasons 💕 😊
