Fall Color 1 (6×6) – https://felipeadanlerma.com/2020/06/10/new-watercolor-upload-to-fine-art-america-fall-color-1-june-2020/
Despite my many gripes about living in Austin, Texas, there’s of course a handful of things I do like. Among them is the opportunity the city makes for artisans 50 or older living in the Austin area to show their creative work.
I’ve been fortunate to have some sales, and am very grateful to be able to replenish my inventory with the paintings above. Three are 8×10 watercolor florals on canvas on absorbent ground.
And the small 6×6 autumn painting is also watercolor on absorbent ground, but on the neat gallery wrapped square canvas.
Below are some pics I took while delivering my new work —

The natural light through the old 1800s windows makes painting in this room sheer pleasure. We (artists) haven’t been able to do that for quite a while now, but we’re all hopeful sometime in the future we’ll be able to do that again ❤️

Another treat is seeing the state capital building, the Texas state flag almost always whipping along in the upper air winds. It’s a beautiful state house, one I used to paint quite a bit, and actually did a small quick plein air of during my 1st ever Urban Sketchers outting just over a month ago.

Please note: the Old Bakery itself has new hours —
Wed-Fri 10-6
Sat 12-5
But their phone # 512-974-1300 has stayed the same 😊
Stay well everyone! Here’s hoping our fortunes are turning better for all of us! ❤️

You’ve framed them well, Felipe. I think it always makes a difference and the exhibition space looks good too. Best of luck.

It is a amazing how often a good frame will enhance the work when it’s out in the world competing for folk’s undisturbed attention! Filling a computer screen or book’s page seems an image can stand or fall on its own; but on a wall or small shelf or desk..yeah, frame makes it 😊
