Intro
Some perceptive people have already noticed and wondered, where’s Day 8?
I can’t say for sure, I do have a few days missing in the sequence of images saved, but I do know we were still there 🙂 and “probably” just didn’t go out, expect for maybe a bite or groceries, that day.
And, we were either very tired, or the weather got really yuk.
Plus, I guess the same sorta thing happened to Day 10!
But here we are, the beginning of Day 9.
Originally, that day, we were headed to the Visitor’s Center at the Pyramids location to get a discount book of bus tickets, so we could travel the city more at will. We got taken off the bus (all the passengers on it) because of street closures due to a protest! A little unsure, we walked and found the visitor center, and were told we had to go to another location for our discount tickets, because it was “off-season.”
It didn’t take long for us to decide, that would have to wait for another day. 😉
The Tuileries turned out to be but a short walk away.
Which turned into a nice long walk in the park. Which took us to the Orangerie, where Monet’s huge water lily paintings are. And to the Place de Concorde, and more great views of the Eiffel Tower. Day 7 in this series has our first images of that famous icon, and our trip there.
All in all, we knew this would be way too much for one morning.
This would be an all-day’er.

What surprised me here, in this early stage of our walk, was how crowded with traffic this street was, and I’m not sure which street it is. If anyone very familiar with Paris lets me know in the comments, I’ll insert the info into the post. 😉

Conclusion
Though we’ve no pictures for Day 10, Sheila and I resumed our walking exploration of Paris on Day 11, with a trip to the Musee D’Orsay!
