First Page Critique of “One Night in the Hill Country”

Tomorrow I get my first feedback (outside close folk and family) on my newest book, a suspense thriller, “One Night in the Hill Country, courtesy of Ray Rhamey on his site, Flogging the Quill.

If you’re unfamiliar with Ray’s site, he accepts submissions from writers who’d like their first page (17 lines I think) reviewed. It’s based on his popular monthly post, Flogging a Pro, on Writer’s Unboxed, where he does the same for top name best-selling authors.

Results, and the comments, can be pretty surprising 🙂

Both Ray’s well-known writer, and less-known writer (smile), critiques, and the comments, are a fun learning experience.

I have no idea how he, or other readers will take to my first page of my new thriller. But if you have time, go by Flogging the Quill tomorrow, and check out my first page. Leave a comment, let me know. Like or dislike or maybe, it will help me a great deal – thanks so much (smiles).
