109 Year Old Texas Survivor of the 1918 Pandemic Remembers ❤️
Well nothing as exciting as yesterday with our 39th anniversary and being chosen as May Artist of the Month by Austin’s Creative Art Society, but did see/experience a remarkable pandemic survivor’s story!
Only, she’s a survivor of the 1918 Flu Pandemic!
Seven years old when the epidemic a century ago started, she has an incredible if short 2 minute story to tell in this video.

The sense of time and this woman’s down to earth dignity and clarity of memory are, for my wife and I, inspiring!
We saw it on Austin’s local KVUE news but I couldn’t find the video from them, but did find it both on YouTube, and on WFAA, I think a station out of Dallas.
There’s a short commercial at the beginning, then the video.
At two minutes, it’ll stick with you forever 💕

Keep growing memories to live and learn by everyone. We depend on them. And one day someone else may depend on you for the same connection ♥️

Wasn’t it fabulous, what a lady, so articulate and expressive and one hundred and nine years old! Had to spell it out it’s so awesome, lol! 😊 Thank you, Dolly! It was an odd but welcome anniversary; would never have predicted one during a pandemic! Now we have this too ❤️ 😊

It’s all in His hand, dear Felipe. I think He got tired of people polluting the perfect world He created and decided to do some spring cleaning. Have you seen environmental statistics lately? The air in big cities is 60% cleaner!

I’ve been I don’t know where the past 6 days, lol, Dolly! Since then Austin’s come back to life, sorta, and the air is, unfortunately, returning to its abnormal-normal 😞 But that one month pure lockdown showed what can be done – improve / replace particular technologies (thus creating new job opportunities), and we can get to live a cleaner healthier life! Plus, I’ve read, the virus, maybe any virus, can ride the bigger yet light weight molecules of pollution far from it’s starting point. Interesting conundrum then re restarting old ways and thus spreading the virus further faster. The pause showed us the polluting kills more than just our view, and faster! Hope you & yours are staying well, Dolly 😊

Interesting information! Here they tried to open parks and beaches, but it only lasted a few days because irresponsible people do not observe social distancing guidelines. Everything is back to lockdown.
Be well and stay safe, dear Felipe!
