A Little Background
From the time we met, Sheila & I loved seeing movies. Most of course had to be seen in the theatre, at the movies, without surround sound, lol!
We still do – Netflix, Amazon Prime, any number of TV channels, cable, DVD (at one time), and the old time movie house theatre, when it seems worth paying the $$$ & the experience promised being worth seeing “on the big screen!”
I actually wrote movie reviews in college, one of my first, after return to college after leaving the Air Force, was Car Wash w/Richard Pryor. I wish I still had it! Titled it, “A Sudsy Cleansing for the Blues” 😊
About My Reviews
In general, I don’t do negative reviews.
Generally, I think it’s more productive to steer folks toward stuff I like or thought was really good (sometimes that’s the same thing, sometimes not quite 😊)
I do often say what might/could be better, or I’d rather’ve seen or experienced, but in the context of why I liked the movie or TV show enough to want to do a review at all.
Thanks everyone – Adan

What can I say?
wow – Wow – WOW!!!
Neither my wife nor I had much hope the follow-up to Season 1’s absolute thriller could come close, much less surpass, the intense when’s-it-gonna-end suspense and tension of this remarkably very modern, very relevant to our times fictional series!
But Season 2 proved to be a no holds barred, can’t watch anything else, thriller to the end!
Unlike mysteries, where one usually doesn’t know who killed whom, there’s little mystery regarding that in Hanna (other than some small surprises) – but the mystery, the real mystery in a great thriller, I think, is 100% here! — how will Hanna and her allies make it out of the terrible odds – who will make it through alive – will there be any hope of an unanguished ending with a promise of another great season!
Well, you’ll have to watch to see 😊

The main consideration about “today” I saw within Hanna’s 2nd season
Basically, continued from Season 1, is an attempt, a very believable attempt, to genetically engineer infants into absolute killing machines on command, yet retain all the “normal” vestiges of being human they can easily be accepted or mingle among the rest of us.
The holy grail of espionage, infiltration, and unobstructed access into normal daily life.
But able to kill on command. Without compunction.
Hanna can. But won’t.
Nothing can seem to erase the kernel of human decency within her to enable her to kill innocent people.
But kill she can. Swiftly. Brutality isn’t even in her interest.
She’s like, if your a senior like my wife and I and remember the old westerns, the good guy sheriff just as lethal as the most hardened gunslinger wandering the West, but always retaining a true softness and kindness.
This is, and will be more so, important, as our genetic engineering – happening all over the globe, in varying degrees of integrity for humanity – becomes more precise, and predictable.
There’s a ton of relevance in Hanna to go with the outstanding script.
As for why I begin my review title with a quote from the show, well, you’ll have to see the show, and, see if you yourself don’t end up walking around, boy or girl, saying, “My name is Hah-nah.”
It’s has to do, for me, with something very life re-affirming ❤️
Stay safe everyone! 😊
