Temperatures continued to drop into the mid teens, with snow building slightly deeper each snowfall, and Arturo gained confidence and experience venturing out to both nearby Battery Park and the Ethan Allen tower, for up to nearly three hours at a time, studying the light on the snows in the mornings and evenings, gathering images like a winter chipmunk finding nuggets.
