On a day when nearly 4000 more Americans died of the supposed hoax virus Covid-19, the center of our democracy in Washington DC and an as yet unconfirmed or released number state capitols (including my home state of Texas) were either simultaneously breached or had peaceful protests.
I’d include among the heroes of the day the legislators that remained or returned to finish the business of certifying our votes from early November (which I still consider the core issue as per my post yesterday and in my mini series Election 2020), the handful of US Capitol police with handguns who faced off against overwhelming numbers with assault rifles, the media in the streets that continued reporting during the siege (ala Martha Raddatz whom Sheila & I watched on ABC), and most importantly – as per the value of each of our individual votes to maintain our democracy via exercising our right to vote – the women pictured above who secured the ballots certifying our recent national election for president of our United States.

And I would add — to my poster above, the rule of law, a reflection of the golden rule, ie, do onto others as you would have others do onto you, in a democracy at least, even a republic based democracy such as our here in the United States — is dependent on the integrity of our votes.
Trust.
The need for full transparency, without threat or coercion, fully accountable and verifiable, open to all qualified voters equally without prejudice, is more apparent now than anytime I know of in my lifetime.
It would be seemingly expensive, but literally nothing in comparison to losing our freedom.
Only folks opposed to our freedoms, I believe, oppose a free and fair vote.
Blessings to us all that our democracy still stands! 💕
