Though over over 4 years old, and the auction I assume more than well over, the article itself I thought was very nice! Interesting observations, basic and to the point! Plus great visuals – for all 3 featured impressionists : Monet, Morisot and Renoir.

Timeless artists all 3, it matters little the date of this article I stumbled onto 😊

Each artist gets his or her fair share of overview and attention, especially with pointers to both Renoir’s and Morisot’s probable turning points in their careers.

Here’s a small taste of each artist as they appear in the article :

Monet –

The artist spent six months ensconced in the château’s sumptuous accommodations, observing life on the estate, studying its landscape under different atmospheric effects, and exploring the banks of the nearby river Yerres.

Morisot –

With a surge of creativity, her brushstrokes became looser and her compositions flooded with light and delicate colour.

Renoir –

…in the autumn, Renoir made an artistic pilgrimage to Italy, where he fell under the spell of the Renaissance masters, and the work of Raphael in particular.

These are among the artists I admire most, all in one illustrated article; a treat indeed! 💕

Lets let creativity dwell within us and bloom! ♥️
