August 18, 2021 – Another New (but related) Most Viewed Image For the Week @FineArtAmerica, “Testing the Water” : #Acrylic on Light Molding Paste on Canvas #ContemporaryImpressionism

For nearly two months now, my more recent softer original watercolors and now an acrylic along the same style have been my most seen images of mine on my site at Fine Art America! Plus figure art work has dominated all but one of those 7 weeks 😊

Since I have an excellent post w/preview excerpt images in a recent blog upload, I won’t go into as much detail as some times.

I will say that the Light Molding Paste from Golden I used in two recent paintings (one a watercolor and one – this one – acrylic) indicate this’ll be on of my favored over-gesso applications on canvas for both mediums.

A recent except to the above trend is one of my Barton Creek Greenbelt Austin posters I just upload a few days ago at Fine Art America, Morning Light. It rang up a respectable 2nd most viewed to Testing the Water. Totally different type image, yet again with a certain emphasis on “light” 😊

Because of my mom’s recent passing, I’m still not spending my usual time painting or posting (within each post). I want to thank all the good wishes and prayers from everyone, here and on FaceBook, and am grateful to have made contact with so many of my family, some of which (because of the pandemic) I hadn’t been able to see for quite awhile, and to try and reflect in my own life my mom’s consistent love for the children (grandchildren & more) in her life 💕

I do feel I am more fully absorbing my mom’s impact on my life, particularly creatively, and hope to see progress in painting figures, with expression, with love, with involvement in the world around us, even if it’s “just” the colors and light in the world we’re immersed within ☺️
