September 15, 2022 – I Can Breathe!! Slats Removed!!

A small but big-to-me miracle today — Sheila and I drove out to see one the surgery doctors and had my silicone strips from my nose removed!

And it was instant inflow of air! 🙏

We also learned my new still-very-large nose will shrink as the swelling goes down over many months & be more normal. What I have to watch progress on is the healing of all the alignments of my breathing channels including sinus drainage channels, minor blood clots, and the effect of Austin’s most dominant feature – year round allergies on a world class level 🤧

Some of my swelling it seems is allergy related vs the operation!

To celebrate, among other things, Sheila and I are doing a much needed live SilverSneakers stretch class, then – play some Bingo 😊

So I’m kinda bummed I’m still a bit cloggy, but I’m WAY glad I can breathe so much better! 🙏
