Dancing in air –

Floating on sounds risen from
an Earth a-joy –

wings spotted like the sun’s
own face –

masked in scents of swollen pollen
mottled underfoot –

gingerly –

butterflies
dance their tender feet
singing!
atop the swaying blooms.

Floating Butterfly 1 Pen and Ink with Watercolor, circa 2021, Available

Floating Butterfly 1 is my first variation using my original pen and ink drawing printed on high quality watercolor paper then washed and painted using Arteza’s watercolor Real Brush Pens, creating a hybrid print and original.

This hybrid print/original combination is something I’m working more on and will have more samples soon 😊
