August 20, 2021 – Sold! At the Old Bakery and Emporium (across from the State Capital) Austin, Texas – ala Monet, Girl with Umbrella
Like a minor but very welcome miracle, a faint rainbow, or even a tiny prayer that surfaces in one’s heart unexpectedly, I sold my small 5×7 watercolor on panel at the Old Bakery and Emporium which just reopened in July!

June 23, 2021 – 2nd Update for Delivering Art for the Summer Reopening of The Old Bakery and Emporium (across from the State Capital) Austin, Texas
Yesterday the 8 year old and I delivered my full set of 12×18 Volleyball posters to the Old Bakery & Emporium and Mike, one of several long time consistent folks to know there, was kind enough to pose with the Texas Capitol Bldg seen through the window 😊

June 17, 2021 – Update for Delivering Art for the Reopening of The Old Bakery and Emporium (across from the State Capital) Austin, Texas
Almost a month ago I posted pics of Sheila and I making our 1st visit in over a year to the Old Bakery & Emporium where I show and sell a variety of images and writings…One of the nicer surprise developments has been a request to offer prints of my 7 unit Volleyball series.

So many beginnings the 1st of May for my wife and I. It was Sheila and mine’s 40th anniversary, we’d just moved into a new apt close (we didn’t begin to realize how close! 😊) to Barton Springs Greenbelt here in Austin, and of course a new month of blog posts!

It’s a tough switch for me, picking up brush with paint vs picking up a camera. Switching from the exactness of line and light captured (even if framed by my eye) by a machine, exquisite as it is — to the amorphous shifting intangible (even if more powerfully felt) world inside me.
