May 20, 2022 – Will My New #Austin #Photography Poster, Morning Light in Barton Springs Greenbelt, Join My Austin Pink Sunset Photo and Lou Neff Digital Art Poster in Sales?
The question itself, whether Morning Light in Barton Springs Greenbelt will match or join my currently selling best prints, is a question more of hope and companionship for my image of a truly usually bright spot in Austin, the system of greenbelts preserving the water that makes living here even possible ❤️

A small thing, but the kind of small thing that keeps hope afloat! 🙏 I’m very grateful the City of Austin has a place like the Old Bakery and Emporium, an 1800s preserved & renovated historical site that displaces the work of Austin area artists 50+ years young 😊

January 07, 2022 – Delivering New Art to the Old Bakery and Emporium (across from the State Capital) Austin, Texas – Valentine Hearts and More!!!
No mere change-out, I swapped out most ( but not all ) of my originals and brought in a stack of 6×9 original acrylic and watercolor hearts. The best way for me to package the latter was to place the on-paper hearts in 8×10 sleeves with an acid-free backing. I did well with these last…

I’ve been having fun learning esoteric-to-me art theory stuff ( much of it embedded with with art history, esp re comtemporary art ), and wrote a nifty rambling but fun-to-me post yesterday delving into the whole concept of #LyricalAbstraction – all the while amazed I never caught whiff of that term, mainly because the essence…

Despite my many gripes about living in Austin, Texas, there’s of course a handful of things I do like. Among them is the opportunity the city makes for artisans 50 or older living in the Austin area to show their creative work. I’ve been fortunate to have some sales, and am very grateful to be…

It’s a tough switch for me, picking up brush with paint vs picking up a camera. Switching from the exactness of line and light captured (even if framed by my eye) by a machine, exquisite as it is — to the amorphous shifting intangible (even if more powerfully felt) world inside me.
