November 28, 2021 – My Most Viewed Image This Past Week @FineArtAmerica, Heart Fragment
If it was an amazing process to see older photos and artwork show up on my most viewed list last week (and it was 😊) then this batch is incredible! Work from so many years have shown up, and such a variety! It tells me, one can never quite tell what folks might be looking…

November 22, 2021 – My Most Viewed Image This Past Week @FineArtAmerica, Walking in Light
I particularly like the look and feel of Walking in Light, the sway of colors synced with the vegetation and figure walking in an easy light ❤️ This post I’m including a pic of more of my images on the most viewed info I get from Fine Art America, just ’cause the array of colors…

November 14, 2021 – My Most Viewed Image This Past Week @FineArtAmerica, Dance, #AcrylicPainting
Another interesting set of most seen of my images on Fine Art America, this for the 1st week in November. A recent and an older fall-autumn painting showed up. Plus a 3 year old small BW oil (w/red on the rower), plus 2 more very recent abstracts, including one (The Earth Sends Its Prayers) I…

Stevie Ray Vaughan’s of course a legend, esp here in Austin, and I was fortunate to be out searching for images to capture one very early grey-blue late-February morning, and I got very lucky ❤️

October 24, 2021 – My Most Viewed Image This Past Week @FineArtAmerica, Arm Chair View Paris, an early #watercolor #blackandwhite #figureart circa Sept 2020
An interesting most viewed results on my Fine Art America site this past viewing period — Plus, as surprising, was the fact 4 of my top 6 most viewed images were Paris themed, 2 of the remainder were also from places we’ve visited (New York & Vermont), followed by most viewed “period” of an Austin…

May 05, 2021 – Lady in Paris 1889, My Newest #AcrylicPainting Upload @FineArtAmerica
* I began Lady in Paris 1889 in July last year, nearly a year ago now, and am glad to say I reached a resolution of how I wanted it to look, or more to the point, how I wanted it to feel, and finally uploaded it to Fine Art America yesterday ♥️

April 21, 2021 – Moving in Our 70’s in a Time of Covid – Catching the New Light at the New Apartment
Most of what we took yesterday (Tue, the 20th) were boxed paintings, but one, the acrylic Lady in Paris 1889 which I’d been working on, chosen ’cause the paint would dry quickly minimizing smears & all that, lol, and that one, not too big, at 20×20, was super light, so I just hand carried it.

January 13, 2021 – Monet’s Garden April Rain in Giverny, Photo to Oil to Watercolors through Three Decades, Part 5 – (Non-Professional) Challenges Photographing Painting Nuances
Yesterday I posted a couple of my watercolor renditions of my mini-Monet’s Garden series of posts, but was immediately unhappy with how one of the two appeared on screen.

January 12, 2021 – Monet’s Garden April Rain in Giverny, Photo to Oil to Watercolors through Three Decades, Part 4 – Learning Lessons Doing Repetition Variations
Previously, in Part 3 of this mini series, I showcased my 1st watercolor (seen below) keyed off an original oil of 2001, itself keyed off an original photo of the same year.

January 08, 2021 – Monet’s Garden April Rain in Giverny, Photo to Oil to Watercolors through Three Decades, Part 3 – Painting Through Political Stress
Third of a short series portraying how I parlayed one great photo at Monet’s Garden in Giverny in 2001 into a poster, an oil, and more recently a watercolor (or two, if I can keep my 70 year old uh-huh in gear 😊).

January 02, 2021 – Synchronicity or Deja Vu? Recurrence of my Yoga-to-Aha Moments Blogged a Decade Ago!
Yesterday, New Years Day 2021 – yay! – I posted the full image of the detail shot above, saying my little watercolor of my 2001 photo of Monet’s garden outside Paris was a marker of sorts, and it is, in many ways….

Happy New Years 2021 Everyone!

Adan’s Newest Art Upload to Fine Art America – Paris Dreams (Watercolor on Absorbent Ground) Uploaded 12.11.20
Paris Dreams is an early result of beginning with a color that appealed to how I felt that day, violet, applied abstractly, then give another stab at developing a figure.

Aging Gracefully – Through Covid-19 – New Paris Painting In-Progress: Lady in Paris 1889, Details One Week Apart
I’ve worked on Lady in Paris 1889 in-between some smaller watercolor (vs acrylic pieces), though a lot of the new touches to this work have been watercolor paint w/matte acrylic medium, basically making it an acrylic, but with some watercolor features, like the particular pigments I really wanted to use 😊

Aging Gracefully – Through Covid-19 – New Paris Paintings In-Progress: Lady in Paris 1889, Paris Arm Chair View
New Paris Paintings I want to have been finished with these two, lol! But they’ve needed little touches. The larger piece (20×20), Lady in Paris 1889, a true acrylic watercolor mix (a little more on that below) has needed tiny tiny touches to “unflatten” it so to speak. While the smaller 6×6 piece has needed…

Aging Gracefully – During Covid-19 – My Paintings on Fine Art America
It’s a tough switch for me, picking up brush with paint vs picking up a camera. Switching from the exactness of line and light captured (even if framed by my eye) by a machine, exquisite as it is — to the amorphous shifting intangible (even if more powerfully felt) world inside me.
