It’s a tough switch for me, picking up brush with paint vs picking up a camera. Switching from the exactness of line and light captured (even if framed by my eye) by a machine, exquisite as it is — to the amorphous shifting intangible (even if more powerfully felt) world inside me.

Very similar to the image #25 featured in my previous post, #26 is a view of Lake Champlain from Battery Park very near where my wife grew up…The lighting, in the few hours that’d passed from the previous image, has dimmed, subtly but significantly, foreshadowing further changes in the novel.
